About Dana Anderson, MFT
Dana Anderson has been counseling individuals, adolescents and their families for over twenty years on an individual and group basis. In addition to her private practice, she has worked with schools, community and social service organizations, correctional institutions and hospitals in the Northern California area. Ms. Anderson received her graduate degree from John F. Kennedy University in 1996 and opened her first practice in Napa, California, as Dana Talbot, MFT, where she gained an excellent reputation for her work with adolescents and families.
In 2006, Ms. Anderson relocated her practice to the Reno/Tahoe area in order to be closer to family and the great outdoors. As this change afforded the opportunity, Ms. Anderson went back to her maiden name and set out to attract clients whom she thought she could help the most, women and adolescent girls with codependent tendencies. What she ended up attracting were clients with grief and spirituality questions. She has also developed a niche with couples, discovering her particular style works well with these dynamics.
Ms. Anderson is lauded by her peers and clients alike and has hundreds of former satisfied clients.
